Wow... what an incredible photograph! The expression is perfect; the scope of the picture is perfect; everything is perfect! The eyes are my favorite part, but I appreciate all of the little things, the like boa we can barely see at the bottom. Your grandmother has a good face.

I was fortunate enough to find this photo because I'm doing an art project for school. Would you mind if I used this?

I didn't say? How foolish of me!

I was tasked with creating a collage. I'll outline what I did: The face is the cernterpiece (...only, off center). I surrounded it with colors of purple, deep red, and black around the edges. The key elements of the piece are: the colors fading into each other (paricularly the color purple, representing royalty, and the black around the edges, representing [I regret to say] the end of life). I listed 5 words on white paper in descending order towards the bottom right corner of the collage. Then I placed a quote, on black paper, in the bottom left corner (a hidden messasge, if you will).

If I can upload a picture I'd send you a link. But, seeing as I lack a digital camera, I am less than optomistic.

Just FYI... next time you ASK to use someones artwork.. perhaps you should wait till they say OK to use it?

I do apologize for that. I have many justifications that I used to tell myself it was okay to ask now and explain later, though of course none of them hold up under scrutiny.

At the very least I can tell you that a) I took less than zero credit for the picture, and b) the collage is not going to be used for anything other than getting a grade. (Though it doesn't change the fact that I jumped the gun on using the picture. Again, I'm sorry.)
